I reached out to Jodi at a time when there’d been a lot of turmoil in my life, and after 15 years of practicing, I was on the fence about sticking with my law office or transitioning out of law altogether. She helped me get clear on what I wanted for my life first. After getting clarity on bigger life goals, we worked through what brings me joy and what brings me stress, both in life generally and in my work. I was able to realize that there is still quite a lot that I find fulfilling about my work, not just as an attorney, but as a leader of a small team. I’m thankful for her ability to listen deeply and ask questions that helped me reflect on what was at the heart of the matter. Sometimes the change and shift we need is not what we initially think it will be, but I’m grateful for the work with Jodi that helped me shift my perspectives, gain clarity, and implement some healthier habits and practices to stay grounded, true to myself and operating from more of a place of alignment. I highly recommend Jodi Miles. Jodi reached out to me and helped me see my way out of the immediate hole I was in and I promised myself that when I could afford her, I would hire her to help me out of the larger hole I had built for myself (she’s not outrageously expensive- I was just that broke). I hired Jodi in July 2019 and this year (2020) has been the best year of my 15 years of practice BY FAR-even with Covid messing up the last 8 months.

I was still in corporate America when I first met Jodi. I wanted to pursue a legal career but didn’t have it all figured out. Jodi was always very encouraging. I worked with practice management coach and attorney Jodi Miles for approximately one year. I met her through a local CLE I had attended where Jodi spoke on the topic of "Profit First." At the time we started working together, I was feeling burned out and frustrated by the hours my office was demanding of me. I even spent blocks of time on the weekend driving to satellite offices and doing work that could have been delegated. I wanted to be functioning at a higher level in the firm, focusing on the largest cases, developing my associates, and marketing our services to top tier referral sources. I am happy to share that I am now doing all of that and more, after working with Ms. Miles. She helped me develop better systems for delegating critical case-related tasks. She encouraged me to take risks in how our work was being accomplished at satellite offices. Together, we created a marketing plan that has me connecting with our very best referral sources on a regular basis. As a result, we are accepting better and higher value cases. I have picked up a hobby I had been wanting to do for many years. I am in better shape physically than I have been in many years because the time management system Jodi taught me allowed me to prioritize getting to the gym on a regular basis. During 2019 alone, I took a long trip with my daughter to California. We made memories that will last a lifetime! I also took an overseas vacation with my wife for our anniversary. We had never done that before! Jodi is an empathetic, resourceful, outside-of-the box thinker. Her creative ideas pushed me to think about business and personal challenges in a different way. As a result, I changed many other things about how my firm was running and I am happier as a result. I cannot recommend practice management coach Jodi Miles enough!
